1. What is the Baseball Legends Association?

The Baseball Legends Association is not a new concept, but an improved one. Once each year, members of the BLA will vote for players and other baseball personalities for inclusion among the Baseball Legends. Current members of the Baseball Hall of Fame will be “grandfathered” in, but those who have fallen off that ballot in recent years can be nominated for the Baseball Legends ballot.

BLA members will also vote for several year-end awards, including (but not limited to) best hitter, best pitcher, and best rookie.

One can become a member of the BLA by filling out the application. There is no cost to become a member of the BLA. BLA voting members can be any fan of the sport who wishes to particpate. BLA contributing members must have a regularly updated blog or website about baseball, or regularly contribute articles to such. The blog or website does not have to be exclusively about baseball, but there must be well thought-out and relevant material related to America’s pastime. This can include blogs or websites that focus on a player, team, collectibles, etc. There are no restrictions relative to age, race, or gender, except where required by law.

Contributing writers to the BLA blog must have a WordPress account, enabling them to post their articles. Writing guidelines (to be provided at a later date) must be followed at all times. No off-topic or off-color posts will be allowed. The first such post will warrant a warning and deletion of the post; a second post will receive a suspension from the BLA and deletion of the post; a third post will receive an expulsion from the BLA.
